Terms of Rent
TERMS OF RENTAL AGREEMENT

1. Introduction

By placing a rental order on Trad.Fashion, operated by BW Collections, you (“the Renter”) agree to comply with the terms and conditions set forth in this Rental Agreement.

2. Ownership of Property

All clothing and accessories available for rent remain the sole property of BW Collections or individual partners listing items through our platform. This agreement does not constitute a sale, transfer of ownership, or permanent assignment.

3. Rental Period

  • The standard rental period is 7 days (including delivery and return time).

  • Extended rental may be requested at the time of booking and may incur additional charges.

4. Delivery and Return

  • Items will be delivered 1–2 days before the scheduled event.

  • Renter is required to return the item(s) within 7 days of receipt using the agreed method (pickup or drop-off).

  • Late returns will attract a ₦2,000 daily late fee, up to a maximum of the full retail value of the item.

5. Fit and Measurement

  • Renter is expected to provide accurate measurements using Trad.Fashion’s measurement guide.

  • BW Collections is not liable for poor fit due to incorrect or incomplete information provided by the renter.

  • If notified within 24 hours, an attempt may be made to resolve fit issues (e.g., swap or minor adjustment).

6. Care and Use

  • Renter agrees to treat all rented items with care and only use them for their intended purpose (e.g., events, photoshoots).

  • Items must not be washed or altered. BW Collections handles cleaning and maintenance.

  • Accessories (e.g., gele, caps, asoke) must be returned in original condition.

7. Damage or Loss

  • Minor wear and tear is acceptable and covered by BW Collections.

  • Major damage (tears, stains, burns, etc.) or loss will incur a repair or replacement fee, up to the full retail value of the item.

  • For peer-to-peer listings, BW Collections will mediate but is not liable for disputes between lenders and renters.

8. Cancellation and Refunds

  • Cancellation is allowed up to 48 hours before scheduled delivery for a full refund.

  • Cancellations within 48 hours are subject to a 30% processing fee.

  • No refunds are issued for cancellations made after delivery.

9. Peer-to-Peer Rentals

  • BW Collections acts as a facilitator between item owners and renters.

  • Both parties are expected to comply with platform terms.

  • BW Collections will charge a 25% commission on each successful rental.

10. Liability

  • BW Collections is not responsible for allergic reactions, wardrobe malfunctions, or delays due to force majeure.

  • Renters are liable for the garment during the rental period.

11. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to engage in good faith mediation before pursuing legal action. Disputes will be settled under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

12. Agreement

By placing an order on Trad.Fashion, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Rent.
