BW Collections began with a simple frustration: beautiful African outfits were often worn once, shelved forever, and priced beyond reach for many. Founded by Amaka Onunze in Enugu, Nigeria, the store started as a small collection of bespoke traditional pieces designed for weddings, cultural events, and celebrations. The styles turned heads—but the idea sparked something more.
Amaka noticed that friends and clients loved the designs but didn’t want to keep buying outfits they’d only wear once. So she asked a better question: What if looking stunning didn’t have to mean spending big—or storing more?
From this vision, Trad.Fashion was born.
We evolved from a boutique collection into a tech-enabled fashion rental platform, combining curated style, accessible pricing, and modern delivery. Backed by an initial grant from Tony Elumelu Foundation, BW Collections began investing in smarter inventory, digital tools, and scalable logistics.
